All payments are due on the first day of classes. AMAUTA offers the following methods of payment:
Before arrival you can make a deposit to one of our bank accounts (US$22 extra charge) or pay through Paypal.
Upon arrival you can pay in cash (we accept US dollars and Peruvian Soles) or with credit card (5% extra charge). Unfortunately, we do not accept travellers cheques at the school, but you can change them at many places in Cusco.
4.
Can I study for a few weeks, then take a break, and then continue for another couple of weeks?
Yes, this is possible. There are no extra charges if you let us know before arrival. If you decide this after your course has started, we will charge the US $33 change fee.
5.
Will you replace classes missed by national holidays?
No, we won´t. On National Holidays all our staff members and teachers enjoy a well deserved day of rest. However, on holidays we offer you an alternative activity, either a excursion or a hike, or a lecture.
6.
Can I extend my course and accommodation?
Of course you can. The sooner you can let us know, the better, as spaces might fill up, especially in high season.
7.
How far ahead should I book my course and/or accommodations?
For high season, it is best to reserve a spot at least 6- 8 weeks in advance. For the rest of the year it is good to book your course and accommodations about a month before arrival. We also do last-minute bookings. In that case we might not be able to get your Lima-Cuzco flight, or your preferred accommodation option.
8.
Which days should I book my travel for? Can you book my trip for me?
Unfortunately we cannot book your trip from your home country to Peru for you. You can do that in your home country with a travel agent. Our services start at the moment you arrive in Peru, if you book our pick up services!
It is a good idea to arrive a couple of days before starting the program to get acclimatized to the altitude and to rest. Therefore we recommend you to arrive in Lima on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, so you can arrive to Cusco one day after. All our Spanish programs start on Monday.
9.
How do I get a discount?
There is a 10% discount on course prices for members of the SAE and holders of the ISIC Card. If you book a course of eight weeks or longer you will also get a 10% discount.
